Peruvian Wholesale Sliced Chips of Tagua (Tawa) nut Seed Beads vegetable ivory from Peruvian Amazon Rainforest , Bag x 1 kg : This lot includes 1 kilogram of Sliced Chips of Tagua nut Beads . The seeds are measure 2.5 cm - 3.5 cm / 1 inch - 1.4 in . The hole of 1 mm is drilled verticaly on the top.

The Tagua palm, family of the coconut palm tree (Phytelephas macrocarpa or Phytelephas aequatorialis) grows in the amazon region of Peru, Brasil, Colombia and Ecuador. It produces one of the most interesting of all seeds due to its extreme hardness and similarity to ivory.After harvesting, the seeds are allowed to dry for 3 months during which time they become very hard and dense.

Tagua or Tawa Nut Beads grows in Amazon Peru and Andean Peruvian and it is a beautiful seeds for making necklaces, bracelets and earrings . Native Americans throughout the Amazon basin have long used the seeds and nuts of a variety of trees and plants make necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry.

Important : The color of the seeds can fade if they are exposed to constant water. The person can not use them in the pool, lake , sea or shower with them.  In use, a little of sweat, ordinary handling or manipulation is not reason so that the color fade or discolor and the customer can make a claim
